FAQs About Ivy Kids

Early Childhood Education Franchise

We provide franchise owners and staff, including Center Directors, and Education Directors, with comprehensive pre-opening training at our headquarters in Houston, Texas. Representatives of Ivy Kids will also spend two weeks assisting franchisees and their staff at their early education franchise around the time of their grand opening. We’ll also present them with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help them run their Ivy Kids center properly on a day-to-day basis.

Though some experience in the children’s education field could be beneficial, it is not required. You should, however, show a true interest in educating children and serving families. We are seeking franchisees who will ideally be committed to the daily operations of their local Ivy Kids center, and who have solid business skills and significant ties to the local community. We also look for franchise owners with suitable management skills, the ability to develop a strong operations team within their franchised business, and who can demonstrate honesty, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

Of course, as with any new business venture, it’s important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new early childhood education franchise. The initial investment required (which includes the acquisition or lease of land, construction, and working capital) is between $1,073,000 – $5,400,000 This number varies depending on real estate.

SBA loans are available to qualified individuals with an initial investment of only 10 – 15%. Contact us for more details.

Franchisees will pay a royalty rate of 7% of gross sales. These collected fees allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of marketing tools, training programs, curriculum updates, and additional systems upgrades.

You will be required to spend a minimum of $7,000 per month on local marketing, until the utilization rate reaches 70% at your center. After reaching a 70% utilization rate, the local marketing expenditures will be reduced to 1.5% of gross revenues. You will also contribute up to 1.5% of gross revenues into the System marketing fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Ivy Kids brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials and campaigns.

We do not offer direct financing to franchisees. We may be able to provide references to qualified financing or lending resources, on a case-by-case basis.

The initial term of your franchise agreement is 25 years, with an additional successor agreement option of another 10 years.
